    Ground and Pitch Maintenance

Ground Update. On rare occasions we have to cancel games at the last minute due to frozen or waterlogged pitches. This is only done when safety is compromised and after considering all options. This decision is often made ‘late’, for example 11am on a Saturday and as late as 9.30am on a Sunday. The timing of the decision will also take into account the distance that opposition have to travel. Updates will be posted on the Message Board. The decision is ultimately the referee’s but at Biggy we consult grounds men, team captains and managers.

Training Evenings: If the ground conditions are frozen or waterlogged or safety or continued use of the Floodlit Pitches are compromised evening training will be cancelled. This will be posted on the message board as early as possible. Always check the message board if weather is poor.

Games and training are only cancelled as a last resort.

For away games please keep looking at the Message Board or text messages in case a match has been postponed or K.O time put back.

    Training Protocols:
Training is only cancelled as a last resort to ensure pitches are playable for the whole season.
The committee has agreed that if there is a need to restrict training, then priority will be given to the Seniors followed by Youth and then Minis.

2/ The oldest Youth side playing at home get choice of pitch
3/ Cup games take precedent over League games
4/ League games take precedent over Friendly games
